Refund & Voucher Policy
This policy explains how Savn promotional vouchers are delivered and redeemed, when refunds may be available, and what information we need to review a request.
Effective date: August 10, 2026
This policy forms part of the Savn Terms of Service.
The Savn Purchase Protection Promise
If an eligible Savn voucher cannot be honored as described, Savn will refund 100% of the amount you actually paid through Savn for that voucher. Coverage is subject to the requirements and exclusions below.
Digital voucher delivery
After a successful purchase, Savn issues a digital voucher with a unique voucher code, QR code, or both.
Each voucher represents the specific merchant product, service, or offer identified in the deal listing. A Savn voucher is not a general-purpose gift card, stored-value account, or reusable Savn balance, and it is not redeemable for cash except where required by law.
The voucher will ordinarily be available through your Savn account and may also be sent to the email address associated with the purchase.
No physical voucher or gift certificate will be mailed unless a specific deal expressly states otherwise.
Promotional period and expiration
Each deal listing and voucher displays the date by which the specific promotional offer must be redeemed. After that date, the promotional offer expires and the merchant is no longer required to provide the listed promotional product, service, discount, or benefit, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Refunds are generally not available solely because a customer did not redeem an otherwise valid voucher before its disclosed expiration date. This rule does not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
Review before purchasing
Before purchasing, review the deal for:
- Expiration dates;
- Eligible merchant locations;
- Reservation or appointment requirements;
- Eligible dates and redemption hours;
- Customer or household purchase limits;
- Product, menu, or service exclusions;
- Minimum purchase requirements;
- Age, identification, or eligibility requirements;
- Additional taxes, gratuities, or disclosed charges; and
- Cancellation or no-show conditions.
Restrictions displayed before purchase form part of the offer. Overlooking a clearly disclosed restriction does not ordinarily create refund eligibility.
How to redeem a voucher
- Open the voucher in your Savn account or email.
- Visit the participating location or attend the scheduled appointment.
- Present the QR code or voucher code to an authorized employee.
- Allow the merchant to scan the QR code or enter the code manually.
- Confirm that the offer has been provided before the voucher is marked as redeemed.
Once a voucher has been validly marked as redeemed, it cannot be reused.
View the complete redemption guideWhat's covered
Subject to verification, the Savn Purchase Protection Promise applies when:
- The merchant permanently closes while your voucher is valid and unused, making the purchased offer unavailable;
- The merchant refuses to accept a valid, unused, and unexpired voucher;
- The product, service, or experience is materially different from the Savn listing;
- You were charged more than once for the same purchase;
- A verified technical problem caused by Savn prevents delivery or use of a valid voucher; or
- Applicable law independently requires a refund.
Savn may contact the merchant and review transaction, redemption, communication, and account records before deciding a request.
What's not covered
Purchase Protection generally does not apply when:
- You changed your mind after purchasing;
- You found a different price elsewhere;
- You no longer want or need the offer;
- You cannot use the offer for personal reasons;
- You overlooked a restriction disclosed before purchase;
- You failed to schedule a required appointment;
- You missed or arrived late for a reservation;
- You did not comply with a merchant’s lawful cancellation policy;
- You did not redeem the specific promotional offer before its clearly disclosed expiration date;
- You attempted to use the voucher at an ineligible location or time;
- The voucher was properly redeemed by you or someone who had access to your voucher code;
- The voucher was partially used;
- You were denied service because of unlawful, threatening, abusive, unsafe, or disruptive conduct; or
- The merchant offered the deal as described, but the experience did not meet a subjective preference.
- The voucher was obtained, transferred, resold, duplicated, altered, or used in violation of Savn's Terms;
- The purchase or claim involves suspected fraud, account sharing, payment disputes, chargebacks, promo-code abuse, identity misuse, or manipulation of the refund process; or
- You already received a refund, payment reversal, account credit, replacement service, or another remedy for the same purchase.
Savn may still make exceptions where required by law or when we determine that exceptional circumstances warrant a different outcome.
Request deadlines
A Purchase Protection request must ordinarily be submitted within 14 days after the problem occurs and while the voucher remains valid. You should make a reasonable attempt to resolve the problem with the merchant first unless doing so would be unsafe or impractical.
If a merchant permanently closes, submit the request within 30 days after you reasonably learn of the closure. The voucher must have been valid and unused when the merchant permanently closed. Different deadlines apply where required by law.
How to request help or a refund
Email support@savnstartshere.com and include:
- Your name and Savn account email;
- The merchant’s name;
- The deal purchased;
- Your order or transaction number;
- Your voucher code;
- The date you attempted redemption;
- A clear description of what occurred; and
- Supporting photographs, receipts, screenshots, or communications, where relevant.
Never send your full payment-card number or card security code by email.
Review process
Savn may review information from the customer, merchant, Stripe, and Savn's transaction and redemption systems.
We may ask the merchant to respond, attempt to provide the purchased offer, correct a problem, or offer a reasonable resolution.
Savn may approve or deny a request in full or in part based on the deal terms, available evidence, this policy, the Terms of Service, and applicable law.
Submitting a request does not automatically guarantee a refund. Savn may deny, suspend, or reverse a claim when information is incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, duplicated, altered, or reasonably suspected to involve fraud or misuse. Savn may restrict or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent or abusive claim activity and will make eligibility decisions reasonably and in good faith based on the available records.
Approved refunds
Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method through Stripe.
An approved Purchase Protection refund equals 100% of the amount you actually paid through Savn for the affected voucher. It does not include the advertised retail value, expired promotional value, unused promo codes, third-party costs, travel expenses, tips, consequential losses, or amounts paid directly to the merchant. Savn-funded promo codes, discounts, credits, and other promotional value are not refundable for cash and may not be restored unless Savn expressly states otherwise or applicable law requires it.
Savn cannot guarantee when the refunded amount will appear in your account. Processing times depend on Stripe, your financial institution, and the applicable payment network.
A refunded voucher will be canceled and may no longer be redeemed.
Nothing in the Purchase Protection Promise limits consumer rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
Payment disputes and chargebacks
Please contact Savn before filing a payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Filing a knowingly false or fraudulent dispute may result in account restriction or termination.
Savn may provide transaction, voucher, redemption, account, and communication records to Stripe, banks, payment networks, and other parties involved in resolving a dispute.
Merchant voucher responsibilities
Participating merchants must:
- Honor valid vouchers according to the published deal terms;
- Train authorized staff to recognize and redeem vouchers;
- Confirm that the purchased benefit is available before redeeming the voucher;
- Avoid marking a voucher redeemed before providing the applicable product, service, or experience;
- Promptly inform Savn of closures, inventory issues, location changes, or fulfillment problems;
- Cooperate with customer-support and refund investigations; and
- Reimburse or permit Savn to offset refund amounts where required by the merchant agreement.
Policy changes
Savn may revise this policy as the marketplace, voucher system, or applicable law changes.
The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect when you purchased a voucher will generally govern that transaction, except where law or a mutually agreed resolution requires otherwise.
